After ten years of trying to live in Italy as true Italians, we are writing a book, tentatively titled, Under the Tuscan Thumb, to capture personal stories of our adventure. On this blog we post our progress—sharing reflections and feelings about the process. It will be an “insider view”—a behind the scenes look at how we find our way through. You can also click on links to YouTube, where we will post reality videos of our process as well.
In addition to our Under the Tuscan Thumb blog, we have an Uncommon Promise website where we post the stories and songs, along with illustrations, created over the past 10 years. You can also find music videos of some of our songs on YouTube, as well as some behind the scenes videos of how and why we wrote the songs. You’ll get a glimpse into our inspirational experiences.
As we write our book, we invite you to participate with us. Feel free to send along any suggestions, quotes or ideas that you want to share. If we use them, we will of course give proper credit.

I LOVE the concept. So creative, so YOU, which is what is most essential. I cannot wait to dig in to this…and follow the story, having heard huge juicy yummy morsels of this journey over our years together. It’ll be somewhat of a walk down memory lane together as well as I’m sure new insights and I-didn’t-know-THAT! experiences, too! How fun.
And, we are in the Bay Area (mostly) from June 11 till about August 8. Are you going to be in Italy that whole time? Would LOVE to see you!
